Preparing RSO for Butter-Based Recipes
Preparing RSO in butter
- Gently melt the butter called for in this recipe. Keep it warm, not sizzling.
- Keep the RSO syringe sealed and warm it briefly in warm water to make dispensing easier.
- Measure the intended amount of RSO using known source potency. Stir it first into a little melted butter, scraping the sides.
- Blend that premix into the remaining butter, then use all of the butter mixture when following the recipe.
The mixture may look uniform without having equal THC in every finished serving.
Emulsification & Mixing
Ordinary butter contains fat and water; clarified butter and ghee contain much less water. Thoroughly blend the RSO premix through the recipe’s fat, then the full mixture. Added sunflower lecithin is optional and formulation-dependent, not automatically necessary for butter or brownies. Follow the recipe and the exact lecithin product’s directions; liquid and deoiled powder are not interchangeable spoon for spoon. A smooth batter or evenly cut brownie does not establish equal THC per serving.
