ABOUT MERCY LEAF

A place to learn, ask questions and find a way forward.

Cannabis education, harm reduction and compassionate support rooted in lived experience and guided by faith.

You deserve information without judgment.

When you’re living with pain, supporting someone through illness or trying to make a healthier choice, conflicting information can make an already difficult season harder. Questions about cannabis often bring another layer of uncertainty, stigma and promises that sound too good to be true.

Mercy Leaf exists to make those conversations easier. Here, you can learn about cannabis, consider its risks and potential benefits and find resources that help you make informed decisions. You don’t have to arrive with the right words or already know what you need.

Who Mercy Leaf is for

Mercy Leaf welcomes veterans, caregivers, people living with serious illness or chronic pain and family members trying to help someone they love. It is also for people curious about cannabis, people overwhelmed by conflicting advice and people thinking about reducing harm or changing their relationship with alcohol, tobacco or other substances.

You may already use cannabis. You may be unsure whether it belongs in your life at all. Either way, you deserve a place to ask an honest question and be treated with dignity.

The person matters more than the plant

Mercy Leaf starts with listening. Cannabis may be part of someone’s path, but the goal is to help that person understand their choices and feel less alone. Through New Leaf, that same approach becomes a conversation about changing direction, one manageable step at a time.

Respecting informed choice also means being honest about uncertainty and risk. Personal experience has a place here, and so does research. Neither should become a promise about what cannabis will do for someone else.

Faith shapes the compassion behind this work. You do not need to share Josh’s beliefs to be welcome, ask a question or seek support.

Small, personal and founder-led

Mercy Leaf is an independent, founder-run, faith-informed cannabis education, harm reduction and compassionate support project. Josh Pierce, a veteran, husband and father, builds the site, shares education and responds to people who reach out. His experiences with loss, PTSD, faith and cannabis shaped the work. He runs Mercy Leaf without pay and primarily covers its costs personally.

The origin of Mercy Leaf begins with his dad’s cancer journey. That story explains why comfort, dignity and access to understandable information matter so much here.
